
Sambhal riot: mp Ziaur rahman Barq was questioned for two and a half hours, appeared before SIT, and said - would cooperate in the investigation
In the sambhal violence case, SP mp Ziaur rahman Barq reached the Nakhasa police station on tuesday and appeared before the SIT. Despite ill health, he expressed faith in the law and the constitution and said that he would cooperate in the investigation. The SIT had sent him a summons at his residence in Delhi.
Samajwadi party mp Ziaur rahman Barq reached Nakhasa police station to appear before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the sambhal violence case. He was summoned for a statement in this case. ASP Shrishchand and CO kuldeep Singh questioned him for two and a half hours.
On tuesday, the mp reached the police station at 11.15 am with several advocates. Before appearing, the mp expressed faith in the law and the constitution and said that he would fully cooperate in the investigation. The mp said that I believe in the law and the constitution.
I have faith in the judiciary. Today I am not feeling well and the doctor has advised me to rest. Despite this, I am appearing before the SIT so that the police-administration does not feel that I am not cooperating in the investigation. Before appearing, he stated in a press conference that he has full faith in the law and the constitution and will cooperate in the investigation in every possible way.
It is worth noting that the SIT is investigating the violence in Sambhal. Many people have been questioned in the case. In this episode, MP Burke was also called to record his statement. The police administration was completely alert regarding recording the statement of the MP. The SIT had served a notice to the mp at his delhi residence under section 35 of BNSS. In which the MP had given time to record his statement on april 8. SP krishna Kumar Vishnoi said that constant vigilance is being maintained in the city. The security arrangements which are already there will remain the same. The SP said that the MP is being asked for cooperation in the investigation by the investigator. So that the investigation can be completed quickly and the charge sheet can be filed in the court.
An FIR was registered in case crime number 335/24 in the ruckus that took place during the Jama Masjid survey on november 24. In this, mp Ziaur rahman Barq and mla Iqbal Mahmood's son Suhail Iqbal were named and 800 accused were made unknown. The mp had given an inflammatory speech two days ago on november 22.
Jama Masjid Committee's Sadar Zafar ali Advocate has told in his statement to the SIT that the mp had asked to gather the crowd. He had said that the survey would not be conducted. The investigator has also included this in the investigation. The MP's problems have increased after the statement given by the Sadar of the Jama Masjid Committee. Questions related to these allegations are to be asked by the SIT.
