According to a recent study, cooking roti over a direct flame can cause cancer.  The report states that cooking roti or any other food item at a high temperature directly raises the risk of developing cancer.  In addition, roasting meat over a direct flame raises the chance of developing cancer.
 
Do Not Make These Mistakes
After kneading the dough, several people begin to make rotis. However, this should not be carried out. Your grandmother must have been kneading the dough and setting it aside for a while when you witnessed it. For some yeast to rise and for it to settle properly. When such flour is used, the roti gets soft and delicious. It is better for your health.
