For collaborating on his next movie with MeToo-accused actor john Vijay, director Pa Ranjith came under fire. Even after numerous allegations of sexual misconduct, he was questioned by many X users for allowing john Vijay. This comes after Thol Thirumavalavan, the president of Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), shared a picture of Ranjith at the Tiruchi airport in tamil Nadu with actors Arya, john Vijay, and Harish Uthaman.
 
After sharing the selfie, Thirumavalavan claimed to have run across the film crew on april 6.  Many people assumed that Ranjith was working on the "Sarpatta Parambarai" sequel shortly after the post went viral.
 

However, when they noticed actor john vijay in the picture, some individuals objected.  One user commented, "Working alongside a sexual abuser and claiming to stand out for the oppressed is unacceptable.  She made fun of Pa Ranjith's filmography, saying, "If you work with a metoo accused, your activism starts to feel like performance, not principle @beemji (sic)".

 A few women accused tamil actor john vijay of sexual harassment and misbehavior.  Even though he refuted these claims in a 2018 statement to Firstpost, singer chinmayi Sripada revealed further accusations against him in 2024.
 
 John Vijay was accused of staring at women and making them feel uncomfortable in restaurants, bars, and workplaces in the screenshots that chinmayi shared.  A journalist who testified that john touched her in a pleasant manner was also included in the allegation.
 
 Regarding his career, john Vijay's next films are "Musasi," "Retta Thala," and "Chennai City Gangsters."
