
In its ruling on Thursday, a division bench consisting of Justices vivek Chaudhary and BR Singh stated that an "exemplary punishment is warranted" because of the seriousness of the offense, Pande's prior behavior, and his refusal to participate in the legal process.
Additionally, the lawyer received a Rs 2,000 fine. If he didn't pay the fine, he would be imprisoned for another month.
Pande has been handed four weeks to turn himself in to the lucknow Chief Judicial Magistrate.
In addition, the court sent out a show-cause notice, requesting an explanation for why Pande shouldn't be prohibited from practicing law at the allahabad High Court's lucknow bench. The deadline for his response is May 1.
After Pande appeared in inappropriate clothing in august 2021 and allegedly referred to the judges as "goondas" when they ordered him to leave, the contempt proceedings were started suo motu. Pande never answered the charges, even though he had multiple chances. The court's judgment was also influenced by his prior record, which included a two-year ban from the court grounds in 2017.
