On social media, a video purportedly depicting a young man engaging in lewd behavior with a woman at the Nadaprabhu Kempegowda (Majestic) metro station has gone viral, drawing harsh criticism and parallels to similar instances in other cities.

According to reports, the incident happened on Platform No. 3, which is used by trains going to Madavara.  Sources claim that the victim was sexually touched by the man in a public setting.  Another commuter surreptitiously recorded the act, which was then posted on social media.

Many users blasted the behavior and likened it to well-known instances on the delhi Metro when the video went viral online.  Concerned about the deteriorating decorum in public areas, netizens demanded more stringent monitoring and action.

Bangalore Metro rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) officials started looking into the situation after the outcry. Authorities are looking through CCTV footage from the previous few days to determine who was involved in Friday's incident, even though initial reports suggest that it was not directly recorded.

BMRCL has stepped up security at several important metro stations in response to the mounting concerns and promised the public more stringent oversight going forward.

Social media responses have been overwhelmingly negative, with many people saying that such behavior in public areas that families and kids frequent is shameful and intolerable.
