According to the Associated Press, Waukesh County authorities accused Nikita Casap last month of first-degree murder, theft, and other offenses in connection with the deaths of his mother, Tatiana Casap, and stepfather, Donald Mayer.
On february 28, officers discovered the bodies of Mayer, age 51, and Tatiana, age 35. After Mayer failed to show up for work and Nikita missed school for around two weeks, their family members requested a well-being check, which led to the revelation.
However, authorities thought the two had been murdered on february 11, weeks earlier. In court, prosecutors allegedly stated that the couple's bodies were so decayed that their dental records were required for identification.
Next month, Casap, who is now being held in the Waukesha County jail on a USD 1 million bond, is scheduled to appear in court to enter a plea. The FBI warrant, which was unsealed on Friday, contained the federal claims made by the county prosecutor.
Who is Nikita Casap?
According to online court documents, Nikita Casap, a high school student who is seventeen years old, is charged with nine felonies in all, including two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of concealing a corpse.
The teen allegedly shot his parents dead at their house outside of Milwaukee in february, lived with their decaying bodies for weeks, and then fled with US$14,000 in cash, passports, and the family dog, according to the authorities.
In Kansas, Nikita was taken into custody by police last month after they discovered him driving during a traffic stop. According to CNN, police discovered $14,000 in $100 cash, almost $14,000 worth of jewelry, and a.357 Magnum handgun that Mayer had carried in the car with Nikita. Along with him were their family dog and passports.
Nikita was accused by federal investigators of purchasing explosives and a drone, planning the killings of his parents, and communicating his plans to others, including a Russian speaker. According to reports, he has idolized dictator Adolf Hitler and laid out his plans in a three-page antisemitic manifesto.
A few snippets of conversations on the TikTok and Telegram message apps are also included in the warrant submitted to a federal court in Milwaukee.
According to the warrant, "Casap seems to have penned a manifesto advocating for the US president's murder. He communicated with other groups with his scheme to assassinate the president and topple the US government.
"The killing of his parents appeared to be an effort to obtain the financial means and autonomy necessary to carry out his plan," it stated.
Regarding the federal investigators, Nikita is charged with three crimes: conspiracy, use of WMDs, and presidential assassination.
Additionally, prosecutors claimed that Casap communicated with a Russian speaker and outlined a plan to escape to ukraine with that person.
Nikita Casap's 'extremist views'
'The Order of Nine Angels '- related content was discovered on Nikita Casap's phone by police. This "network of individuals holding neo-Nazi racially motivated extremist views" is what has been reported.
Additionally, conversations and images containing references to a "self-described manifesto regarding assassinating the president, making bombs, and terrorist attacks" were allegedly discovered.
In his three-page essay, Nikita detailed his motivations for wanting to kill trump and included his thoughts on relocating to Ukraine. "Getting rid of the president and the vice president" was the teen's stated goal, according to the federal warrant, which cited the document.
According to the government affidavit, one passage from the document stated: "I think it's very obvious why, specifically Trump. There will undoubtedly be considerable commotion if the president and possibly the vice president are removed.
"HAIL HITLER HAIL THE WHITE RACE HAIL VICTORY" and other statements featuring Adolf Hitler were also included in Nikita's manifesto.
Nicole Ostrowski, Nikita Casap's public defender, filed a motion last month to have some of the charges against him, including stealing, dropped. She added that her client was still too young and that the prosecutors had not set out their case. She stated, "He is still in high school," on march 12.
A CNN article claims that Nikita's classmate informed the sheriff's office last month that Casap had informed him that he intended to murder his parents but lacked a firearm.
He then admitted to his classmate that he would steal a gun from someone he befriended.
According to the Waukesha County court, Nikita Casap is scheduled to show up on May 7 for his arraignment.
