For the past two years, samantha Ruth Prabhu has been fighting a rare autoimmune disease.  Following her illness, the Citadel: Honey bunny actress revealed in a recent interview with food pharmer, also known as Revant Himatsingka, that she has ceased promoting junk food and has missed several brand ads. See the video below,
She added, "I was very happy that all of these big multinational brands wanted me as their brand ambassador because when I entered this industry in my 20s, the symbol of success was based on the number of projects you have, the number of brands you endorse, and how many brands want your face on their products." "I have given up and said no to more than 15 brands just last year, and of course that's crores and crores of money," she said.

She went on to say that "I vet my brands with three doctors before I agree to endorse them" now whenever there is an endorsement.

Why mindset shift?
In 2022, samantha received a diagnosis of myositis, an autoimmune disease.  I was feeling quite alone and powerless about my health when I was told I had an autoimmune disease.  I was unsure about where to start.  When you get sick, you think you'll be okay if you take a medicine for a week.  But that's not the case here.  You are informed that it is incurable and that it is chronic.  You're informed that it will worsen and last a lifetime," she added.
