A trainee air hostess who was hospitalized to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram on april 5th has reported that she was subjected to sexual harassment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) when she was semi-conscious. The woman claimed in a complaint last week, 24 hours after telling her husband about the alleged assault, that her frail state prevented her from fending off her attacker's advances.

In addition, she stated that two female nurses were there but chose not to step in. The complaint claims that during her training, the woman almost drowned in a swimming pool and was first admitted to a lesser hospital.

On april 5, she was sent to Medanta, where she reportedly received emergency care for more than a week, including being put on a ventilator. On april 6, a ward staff member is accused of carrying out the assault. The news's disclosure has caused a rift on the internet.

The idea that someone might attack a semi-conscious woman in front of two nurses is extremely upsetting to most people, even though others speculate that this may be a made-up scenario involving a hospital bill dispute.

A fresh case that raises public concerns about women's safety comes up every day.  Where can a woman feel safe if she can't feel safe in a hospital while receiving care?

It appears that women are no longer safe anywhere.
