The Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president celebrated a purported "victory" in the supreme court over the Waqf (Amendment) Act on april 17, 2025, on X. The sole issue? The entire text is a massive jumble of lies, errors, and grandiose illusions that reveal Vijay to be a political neophyte who is incapable of even knowing the facts. Let's dissect this and discover how far down this embarrassing rabbit hole goes.

Error #1: The Waqf (Amendment) Act You're Opposing Is Of 2025, Not 2005
Vijay first expresses his sincere gratitude to the supreme court for its decision regarding the Waqf Amendment Act, which he asserts dates back to 2005.  False.  The relevant Waqf (Amendment) Act was passed in 2025, according to several sources, including Wikipedia and the indian Lok Sabha records.

As some of his ardent supporters may argue, this is not only a "typo"; rather, it is a major mistake that demonstrates Vijay's ignorance of the core chronology of the law he is purportedly opposing. This is completely absurd for someone who is attempting to establish himself as a real political leader. He seemed to have googled "Waqf Act," clicked on the first date that appeared, and proceeded without hesitation. Does tamil Nadu deserve this kind of leadership? A guy who can't distinguish between 2025 and 2005?

Error #2: Vijay's Case Wasn't Even Heard
This is when the situation becomes even more pitiful. According to Vijay's article, important portions of the Waqf (Amendment) Act were put on hold when the supreme court issued an order in response to TVK's suit.  The bad news is that your petition hasn't even been considered yet, Vijay!  TVK's petition (Diary Number 19435/2025) was filed on april 13, 2025, and if it ever makes the cut, it will be heard on april 24, 2025, according to the supreme Court's own records.

Only five petitions will be considered, as the court has made clear, and there is no assurance that yours will be one of them.  Vijay is boasting about an interim order that actually relates to another petition that asaduddin owaisi filed on april 4, 2025 (Diary Number 17837/2025). Thus, Vijay was busy claiming credit for a match he didn't even attend, while Owaisi and others were engaged in combat in the ring. How completely unprincipled.

Error #3: abhishek singhvi Isn't Your Advocate

Vijay continues by expressing gratitude to Senior Counsel Dr. abhishek Manu Singhvi for "two days of successfully arguing on behalf of our party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam."  Except the minor issue that Singhvi isn't even representing TVK, this may sound remarkable. Records from the supreme court show that sudarshan Lamba, not Singhvi, is TVK's advocate.

Singhvi isn't really Vijay's savior, even though he may be involved in other petitions contesting the Waqf Act.  This is not merely a small error; rather, it is an obvious attempt to use someone else's reputation to support TVK's legitimacy.  If you're going to mention someone by name, Vijay, at least confirm that they are a member of your team.  Otherwise, you appear to be a desperate impostor attempting to win over the adults around the table.

'Tharkuri Vijay Kazhagam': Vijay's Political Incompetence On Full Display
Let's take a moment to reflect on what this disaster says about Vijay as a politician. Vijay is unable to accurately identify his own legal team, distinguish between his own pending case and someone else's triumph, or even correctly name the year of a significant piece of legislation. How can you defend a leader who is incapable of verifying the accuracy of a single tweet before clicking "post"?
