The pahalgam terror incident, one of the bloodiest in Jammu and Kashmir, claimed the life of an indian Navy officer who had just married and was on a honeynoon with his spouse. terrorists killed 26-year-old indian Navy officer Lieutenant Vinay Narwal of Karnal, Haryana, as he and his wife were enjoying their first trip to Pahalgam.
 
"He shot my husband while we were just having bhelpuri."  The officer's wife added in a shaky voice, "The gunman shot my husband after claiming he wasn't a Muslim. Four days ago, he got married.  Naresh Bansal, the deceased's neighbor, told ANI that everyone was content.  "We have learned that terrorists killed him, and he passed away instantly.  He served in the Navy as an officer.
 
After being married on april 16 and having a reception on april 19, Lt. Narwal had traveled to Kashmir.  According to defense officials who spoke to ANI, he was a committed and talented officer who had only joined the Navy two years prior and was posted at Kochi. At least 26 people were killed in the incident, which targeted a party of visitors and claimed the lives of two foreigners.
