Harpreet Singh, one of India's "most wanted" terrorists, was apprehended by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) as part of a trump administration crackdown on suspected terrorists. 

Who is Harpreet Singh?
An indian national named Harpreet is charged with a major domestic terror offense in which he allegedly organized a grenade attack on a punjabi police station and a retired officer's home, as well as provided funding and recruitment for terrorist activities. indian authorities claimed that the purpose of these attacks was to instill terror among police officers.
 
Harwinder Singh Rinda, an implicated member of Babbar Khalsa international (BKI), which the united states designated as a foreign terrorist organization in 2002, is said to have a relationship to him. BKI was founded in the late 1970s and has been connected to several violent acts, bombings, and political killings. On january 27, 2022, Singh crossed the Arizona-Mexico border into the united states illegally.  The Border Patrol placed him in the nation with a future court date.

DHS reports surge in terrorist arrests during trump 2.0
Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin of the Department of Homeland Security told the New York Post, "The Biden administration not only allowed a wanted terrorist to enter our country, but they also released him into the interior of our country after he was apprehended by Border Patrol agents."
 
"While shocking, it's not surprising given the Biden administration routinely released unvetted terrorists and criminals into American communities."
 
According to DHS, ICE agents in Sacramento eventually apprehended Singh last week.  "He had been evading capture by using untraceable burner phones and encrypted applications," according to the FBI.  

According to DHS data given by the NYP, Singh is one of 219 known or suspected terrorists detained since President donald trump took office, a significant rise from the 29 arrests made during the same period under former President Joe Biden.
 
"Under President trump and Secretary Noem's leadership, ICE is unleashed to remove these violent criminals from America's streets and put an end to catch and release," said McLaughlin.
