Various political parties have extended their support for this. The party stressed that the bandh is not just a protest but a collective expression of pain and anger against violence. "JKNC joins the ongoing shutdown in strong condemnation of the pahalgam terror attack. On behalf of JKNC, we request you to make the hartal called by religious and social leaders a complete success," JKNC X said in a post.
Jammu and kashmir People's Democratic party (PDP) president and former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti has also announced her party's support for the shutdown. She also said that the pahalgam attack is an attack on all of us. "As a mark of respect to the innocent lives lost in the brutal attack in pahalgam, I appeal to all Kashmiris to come together to support this ball. This is not just an attack on a few - it is an attack on all of us," Mufti said in his X post.

This tragic attack is not just an attack on a few individuals; it is an attack on the soul of Jammu & kashmir," it said.
Hurriyat Conference party President Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has urged the people of kashmir - SRINAGAR/JAMMU' target='_blank' title='jammu and kashmir-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>jammu and kashmir to support this complete shutdown and peacefully protest against the heinous crime.
