A terrorist attack was carried out on tourists in Jammu and Kashmir's pahalgam area yesterday (April 22). Officials said that 27 innocent people were killed in this firing by armed terrorists. After this attack, security forces cordoned off the area. Meanwhile, in the wake of the pahalgam attack, air india and indigo have announced new plans for flights from srinagar to delhi and mumbai on Wednesday. Considering the shocking problems that are prevailing in the wake of the terrorist attack in Kashmir's pahalgam, air india has tweeted that it will operate two additional flights from srinagar to delhi and mumbai on Wednesday, april 23. Accordingly, bookings for these additional flights are now open. Flights from srinagar to delhi - 11:30 am and from srinagar to mumbai - 12:00 noon.
All other air india flights to and from srinagar will continue to operate as per schedule. air india has said that passengers with confirmed bookings till april 30, 2025, will be given free rescheduling and full refunds for cancellations. Similarly, indigo has also issued an announcement extending the period for change and cancellation of travel plans till april 30. Accordingly, it has said that it will be applicable for bookings made on or before april 22. In addition, indigo has announced two special flights today. i.e. april 23. They will be from delhi and mumbai to srinagar and back.
