After a remark kamal haasan made about trisha krishnan during the marketing of their movie Thug Life went viral, he was recently at the center of controversy. Since netizens feel the elder actor made a disparaging comment about the actress, what began as a lighthearted jest between the actors has now grown into a bigger problem.
 
To put things in perspective, when asked about her favorite food during the event, trisha mentioned a dish made with boiled bananas, but she was unable to remember the name of it.  In response, kamal haasan joked, "She doesn't know the name but likes putting it in her mouth," and reminded her of the name.
Kamal Haasan also offered her a little pat on the knee, as if in jest, while trisha laughed off the comment.  Nonetheless, the remark has provoked discussion among online users. Some have supported kamal haasan, saying it was a harmless joke that was exaggerated, while others believe the veteran actor made a cheap comment with an offensive undertone that was meant at Trisha.  
Returning to the Mani Ratnam-directed movie Thug Life, silambarasan TR, Sanya Malhotra, ashok Selvan, Abhirami, aishwarya Lekshmi, Pankaj Tripathi, Joju George, and other important actors play important roles.  On june 5, 2025, the action drama in tamil is scheduled to premiere on huge screens.
