The entire nation is in shock and grief at the pahalgam terror tragedy. From common people to movie stars, people from all walks of life have loudly denounced this heinous conduct. Unfortunately, this is not the first instance of violence in our country. We still carry with us the terrible recollections of the many lives lost in the past.

Telugu films in particular, as well as South indian films in general, have frequently made strong statements against terrorism. In addition to providing us with entertainment, these films provoked profound thought, sparked patriotism, and depicted the reality of terror. Let's examine a few potent tollywood productions that made a strong statement against terrorism:

Khadgam (2002): A Timeless Tale of Nationalism
One of the most well-known telugu films that opposed terrorism was Khadgam, which was directed by krishna Vamsi.  It praised bravery and solidarity while exposing the brutality of terrorism.  Prakash Raj, ravi Teja, and srikanth all had memorable performances.

Azad (2000): religion Is a Cover for Terror
Nagarjuna battles terrorists in azad who disguise themselves as religious leaders.  The movie depicted how terrorists can coexist with us undetected, and raghuvaran portrayed a deadly fanatic.

Terror (2016): A Powerful Statement from a police Officer's Perspective
In this movie, srikanth played a police officer who puts his life in danger to prevent a terrorist strike. Despite its lackluster box office performance, the film received high marks from critics for its emotional impact and straightforward narrative.

Amma Cheppindi (2006): A Heartwarming Account of Selflessness
Amma Cheppindi, which starred Sharwanand, demonstrated how anyone may become a hero.  The film's profound meaning, infused with patriotism, came from the emotional connection between a mother and son.

Major (2022): Honoring a True hero
Major sandeep Unnikrishnan, who lost his life in the 26/11 mumbai assaults, was portrayed by Adivi Sesh.  Major was strong and emotional, demonstrating the valor of our military.

Goodachari (2018): The Silent war of a Spy
A secret agent working to safeguard the country was the subject of goodachari, another movie starring Adivi Sesh.  With strong patriotic overtones, it was a novel and thrilling interpretation of the spy genre.

Yuddham Sharanam (2017): A Family Affected by Terror
This film, which starred naga Chaitanya, attempted to depict the impact of terrorism on families but was not a huge hit.  It carried a powerful message and blended action and emotion.

Vedam (2010): Influential Tales with a Moral
Allu Arjun and Manchu Manoj featured in Krish's Vedam.  It fostered togetherness and demonstrated the perilous nature of fanaticism. The poignant conclusion has a long-lasting effect.

Dubbed Movies:

Although not telugu originals, telugu viewers adored the dubbed versions of Mani Ratnam's Roja, Vijay's Thuppakki, and Kamal Haasan's Vishwaroopam.  These movies effectively conveyed the perils of terrorism as well as the resilience of those who oppose it.  I still get chills from the scene in Roja where arvind swamy defends the indian flag.
