Since its debut on april 10th, Sunny Deol's Jaat has received mixed reviews from audiences and has had a dismal run at the box office. Fans of sunny deol enjoyed the action-packed scenes in the Gopichand Malineni-directed film, which featured a number of climactic sequences.
 
The director recently disclosed that a Jaat sequel is in development, with sunny deol playing the lead role once more.  Gopichand Malineni responded to a question on the script by saying that it would require more time to finish but that the movie would feature high levels of action and emotion.

A number of fans drew attention to the fact that Sunny Deol's character lacked a backdrop and was not given a thorough introduction in the movie.  Considering all of those drawbacks, the well-known filmmaker hopes to do something novel with the family aspect in the second installment. 

According to gopichand malineni, who hopes to begin filming a telugu action movie with Nandamuri balakrishna by June, Jaat 2 could begin production in 2026.  Given the performance of the first part, it is quite dangerous to develop a sequel for the picture as fans won’t buy it the second time after having a lackluster response for the first part.  

As of right now, Jaat has made over 60 crores in just 8 days, making it seem impossible for the movie to reach the 100 crore barrier.  It remains to be seen if the sequel will succeed and draw in more audiences or if sunny deol will make another lousy movie.
