Rahul Bajaj fulfilled the dreams of the common man??

The period of the mid-1960s when rahul Bajaj returned to india after leaving Delhi's St. Stephen's school and studying at Harvard business School. He left the luxurious city of mumbai and chose Akurdi city of pune which was considered a backward area at that time. rahul Bajaj started Bajaj's two-wheeler business from there.

Akurdi was a backward region at that time, but in the pre-liberalization period, rahul Bajaj had obtained licenses from the government to manufacture two and three-wheelers and partnered with Piaggio to obtain financial assistance to manufacture Vespa scooters. He had bought land in Akurdi and set up his factories.

It was a matter of surprise for the people to visit this backward area of rahul Bajaj. people did not believe that he would survive for long in rural areas as there was a lack of basic facilities but he proved them all wrong. He not only made pune his home till his last breath but also ensured that it was included in the largest industrial areas of the country.

He started Bajaj auto and the company has never looked back in the post-deregulation era and liberalization. The company became one of the most profitable auto companies in the world with a market cap of over Rs 1 lakh crore. Today Bajaj auto is in the hands of Rahul's elder son Rajiv and the company is not only one of the largest motorcycle manufacturers in the country but also holds a strong position in the major export markets.

During the time the market started moving towards four-stroke motorcycles while Bajaj continued to focus on its scooter range.

Bajaj auto did this, it made a comeback and launched the Bajaj Pulsar in the motorcycle segment. It is considered the choice of youth even today. The company's Pulsar has become one of the reputed motorcycle brands in the country. Bajaj has been able to carve its niche in the premium categories and has kept its coin in the country's two-wheeler auto sector and it is all due to the hard work of rahul Bajaj.
