What is the biggest challenge of minerals for India?

The biggest problem for india is that we have to import most of the minerals from abroad. This has two major problems, firstly, a lot of our money goes to other countries. Second, if there is any problem in these countries like a war or someone imposes a ban, then there will be a shortage of minerals here.

One problem is that the work of cleaning and preparing these minerals is mostly done by one country, China. Meaning if China stops the supply of these minerals or increases their price, then india will have a lot of problems. This is a big threat for us.

On the other hand, till now very little work has been done to find minerals in India. The presence of these minerals has been found in some places like Jammu and Kashmir. But till now the big work of extracting them has not started. Recently, a deposit of lithium has been found in Jammu and Kashmir. The biggest problem in all this is that our earth is very complex, we do not have good technology to find minerals and there are many obstacles from the government too.

Even if we get minerals from our land, it is wrong to think that the work is over. There are only a few factories in india to clean and prepare these minerals. This means that we will be able to extract the raw material but to prepare it we will have to depend on other countries, especially China. This will increase the price of minerals.
