Blinkit introduced a service for swift delivery of passport-sized photos in delhi and Gurugram, eliminating last-minute rushes to photo studios. customers can order through the Blinkit app, upload images, and customize them. The service begins at Rs 99 for eight photos. "Ever needed passport-sized photos for visa documentation, admit cards or rent agreements at the last-minute?" Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa asked rhetorically in his announcement.
The new service aims to eliminate frantic rushes to photo studios, providing a convenient solution for time-pressed customers.
The process is straightforward: customers can order passport photos through the Blinkit app. The option to order passport size photos is Print Store section, from where customers can also order document print outs.
Customers first need to upload the photo that they need – they can either select from gallery or click a new picture. Once uploaded, Blinkit also offers AI-enhance service for the images. Then, customers can also customise the image, allowing users to crop, or rotate their images. customers can also add multiple photos to their order.Blinkit caters to various photo size requirements, including standard size, indian passport, US visa, UK visa, and Schengen visa formats.The passport photo service starts Rs 99, and the delivery charge will be charged separately. The pricing is as mentioned – 8 photos for Rs 99, 16 for Rs 148, and 32 for Rs 197.
Addressing privacy concerns, Blinkit assures that all uploaded photos are deleted once the printing is complete.
While initially available only in delhi and Gurugram, the company plans to expand the service to other cities based on customer feedback.
