Nifty close at all-time high in banking-energy stocks!!!

Both the major indexes of the indian stock market, Sensex-Nifty, have again managed to touch new all-time highs. In the trading session of Wednesday, september 25, 2024, the BSE Sensex reached a new high of 85,247.42 and the National Stock Exchange's Nifty reached a new high of 26032.80 points. The market showed employment recovery from the lower level in today's session. Sensex saw a recovery of 500 points from the low level and Nifty saw a recovery of 161 points from the day's low. At the end of today's trading, the BSE Sensex closed with a jump of 256 points at 85,170 and Nifty closed with a jump of 64 points at 26,004 above 26000.

In today's trade, buying was seen in the shares of banking, pharma, metals, real estate, media, energy, infrastructure sector. While the shares of auto, IT, FMCG, consumer durables, healthcare sector closed with a fall. In today's trade also, there was no shine in midcap and smallcap and Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap index closed with a fall. india Vix closed at 12.28 with a fall of 8.22 percent.

Market cap fell on rise in market

Despite the Sensex Nifty closing with a great rise, the market cap of the stock market has seen a fall due to the fall in midcap and smallcap stocks. The market cap of the stocks listed on BSE closed at Rs 475.24 lakh crore, which closed at Rs 476.07 lakh crore in the last session. That is, in today's session, the market cap has decreased by Rs 81000 crore.

In today's trading, Power Grid closed with a gain of 3.91 percent, Axis bank 2.18 percent, NTPC 1.94 percent, Bajaj Finserv 1.10 percent, Bajaj Finance 0.91 percent, Tata Steel 0.65 percent, hdfc bank 0.59 percent.
