Zomato's co-founder and Chief people Officer resigns…?

Akriti Chopra, co-founder and Chief people Officer of online food delivery and quick commerce company zomato, has resigned from the company. Akriti Chopra's resignation will be valid from today i.e. 27 september 2024. zomato has shared the information about her resignation in a regulatory filing with the stock exchanges.

Informing the stock exchanges under SEBI's listing regulation of being a listed company, zomato said that Akriti Chopra, who is the co-founder and Chief people Officer of the company, who is designated as Senior Management Personnel, has resigned. The company said that Akriti Chopra's resignation will be effective from september 27, 2024. The company said that she has resigned to pursue her other interest.

Akriti said, the journey of 13 years has been incomparable

Akriti Chopra wrote an email to zomato founder Deepinder Goyal and informed him about her resignation. She wrote in her email, as per the discussion, I am sending my resignation which will be effective from 27 september 2024. The journey of 13 years of incomparable prosperity has been very wonderful. Thank you very much for everything. I am always a call away.

The 13-year journey is over

Akriti started working with zomato in the year 2011. After taking the company to heights in 10 years, she was promoted as the co-founder of zomato in the year 2021. The year she was promoted, she was posted as the vice-president of Finance and Operations in the company. She worked in the company as CFO. During her tenure with zomato, the company has taken a big leap. Before zomato, Aakriti Chopra was working with PwC.
