Zepto is now on the radar after Ola-Uber!

Zepto, a fast-growing quick commerce platform, has become a topic of discussion on social media these days. Actually, a user has claimed that two different prices are being charged for the same thing based on the phone's operating system. The matter is from Bengaluru. Horse Power's co-founder Vinita Singh, who lives here, shared two screenshots on linkedin and wrote that different prices are being charged for the same thing.

Different prices on Android and iphone

In one, the price of 500 grams of green capsicum was Rs 21 on Android, while Rs 107 was being charged for the same product on iphone. Vinita wrote that both the screenshots were taken simultaneously at the same place. Tagging the founders of Zepto in her post, she wrote, 'Zepto, will anyone clarify on this? First screenshot: Android, second screenshot: iphone.'

The post went viral very fast

This post went viral on linkedin as well as on X. people started making various comments on it. One wrote, 'Is this apple tax? In this, up to 35 percent charge is taken from vendors on the purchase of the app, but it applies only to wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>digital goods.' Another user asked the question, 'Are both the screenshots taken from the same account?' Many people said that the discount can be different on different accounts.

Such a case regarding Ola-Uber too

Let us tell you that recently a similar case came to light regarding cab service provider Ola-Uber. They were accused of charging different prices based on different mobile models iphones and Android. After the case came to light, Consumer Affairs minister of the government of india Pralhad Joshi issued a notice to ola Uber through CCPA.
