A bid of Rs 1.13 lakh crore was placed for the IPO!

Here we are talking about husband-wife venkat Vishwanathan and Pramod Jandhyala, who met at IIM Kolkata.

Crores of rupees bid for the company's IPO

This couple came into the limelight when their company LatentView Analytics got a bid of Rs 1.13 lakh crore for an IPO of Rs 600 crore in november 2021. This is the highest bid ever placed in the history of the indian stock market. This bid was five times more than the bid placed for the largest IPO of that time, Paytm. Its issue price was Rs 190-197 per share, which was oversubscribed 338 times. After listing, the value of the company was more than Rs 10,000 crore.

This company, formed in 2006, is headquartered in Chennai. LatentView provides services like data analytics, consulting and data engineering to customers from different sectors like banking, technology, industry and retail. The company focuses more on the US market, which contributes more than 90 percent to its revenue. Its clients include many big companies like Adobe, Uber, and 7 Eleven.

Viswanathan studied civil engineering from IIT madras and then did further studies from IIM Kolkata. He started his journey with Cognizant. Jandhyala, who graduated from Birla Institute of technology and Science (BITS) - Pilani, has worked in companies like ford and moody's ICRA.
