Holi will boost, CAIT estimates - business of 60 thousand crores!

The business figure is 20 percent more than last year. According to the Confederation of All india Traders (CAIT), business of more than Rs 8 thousand crores is expected in delhi alone. Traders and customers have given priority to indian goods. Herbal colors, gulal, pichkari, balloons, sandalwood, puja materials, apparel, sweets, dry fruits, gift items, clothes and grocery products are being sold in large numbers. CAIT National General Secretary and chandni Chowk mp Praveen Khandelwal said, "India is a country of festivals. Every festival gives a boost to business. Heavy crowds are being seen in Sadar Bazar, chandni Chowk, Karol Bagh, Lajpat nagar, Sarojini nagar and other markets. There is a demand for Gujiya, Namkeen and other traditional delicacies at sweet shops. The demand for white T-shirts, kurta-pyjamas, salwar suits and T-shirts with 'Happy Holi' written on them has also increased.
