At the Tycon Mumbai-2025 event, Murthy called upon entrepreneurs to focus on creating more companies and businesses. He said that if we are able to create innovative enterprises, poverty will 'disappear' like the dew on a sunny morning.

You cannot solve the problem of poverty by giving free gifts, no country has succeeded in this.''
This statement of the Infosys co-founder has come at a time when there is a debate on giving things for free and their cost. Later, Murthy clarified that he does not know much about politics or governance, but he has made some recommendations from the point of view of policy framework. He said that in return for the benefit, the improvement in the situation should also be assessed. Giving the example of free electricity up to 200 units per month, Murthy said that the state can conduct a survey in such houses at the end of six months to find out whether the children are studying more or not. He also said that most of the artificial intelligence (AI) solutions being sold these days are 'stupid, old programs' which are promoted as the work of the future. AI includes 'machine learning' and 'deep learning' capabilities.
