

Tata Group sought land from gujarat government!
Tata Group and Taiwanese company Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation (PSMC) are working to build a semiconductor fabrication facility in Dholera, Gujarat. To further expand this mega semiconductor chip plant, Tata Group has sought 80 acres of land from the gujarat government. This information has been given in a business Standard report. Earlier, the gujarat government had allotted 20 acres of land to the company.
Land will be used for this work
According to the information given in the report, Tata Electronics will use this additional land to build quarters for about 4,000 employees. According to information received from sources, this housing facility will have many other facilities like studio apartments, shopping complex, sports ground. Apart from this 100 acres of land, the gujarat government had also promised to give 63 acres of land to Tata Electronics for expansion of the plant in Dholera as per the requirement.
The plant will be operational from 2027
The Dholera semiconductor plant is India's first chip fabrication unit, which was approved by the central government in february last year. The Dholera plant is part of the Centre's india Semiconductor Mission. According to a business Standard report, operations at the semiconductor chip plant will start from 2027. Tata Group is spending more than Rs 91,000 crore to build this chip fabrication unit in Dholera. While the cost of land is around Rs 200 crore. The company will spend Rs 15,710 crore on the plant and other facilities.
