Sales of these pills are booming in high-end bars, restaurants and tourist attractions. Many of the heirs of the rich in particular are interested in using these. Crystal meth weighing 1500 kg was also seized along with these tablets. This information was confirmed by Jeremy Douglas, Ambassador of the UN Narcotics Division.

There are currently three times more drugs seized in laos than last year. Larry Lao, who carried the drugs, owned a brewery called Brewery. The company said it had no connection to the drug seizure and their brewery.


Earlier, the shaan area of Myanmar was at the heart of drug trafficking. From here the drugs are smuggled to countries including japan and Australia. 


Military rule has been in place in Myanmar since february 1. It is learned that the drugs have been relocated to thailand due to the ongoing violence there.
