Delhi Black Spots: In just two years, 46 accidents, 25 injured and 18 lost their lives
 The figures for road accidents on Burari Road from 2018 to 2020 were quite worrying.


 To curb road accidents due to black spots in delhi, SaveLIFE Foundation along with the delhi government has identified two black spots.  One of them is on Burari Road and the other is in gandhi Vihar.

 The figures for road accidents on Burari Road from 2018 to 2020 were quite worrying.  A total of 46 accidents took place here in these two years, in which 18 people lost their lives, while 25 people were injured.  To get relief from this problem, Save Life Foundation has installed plastic barriers, spring posts, cones, and many other such devices under Burari Chowk Foot Over Bridge and around Burari Square to reduce the risk of road accidents.  The space for pedestrians can also be increased.
Regarding the matter, Karuna Raina, Public Policy Specialist, and director of, the Save Life Foundation said, “We are taking various steps to get rid of the problem of increasing traffic in Delhi. Temporary barricades have been made. This will make it easier for the vehicles to come and go. Along with this, though is also being given for the convenience of pedestrians. These areas will be monitored through cameras. It will be our endeavor that by adopting these methods, people can get freedom from traffic to some extent and road accidents can also be reduced
