As technology increases, so does crime. Cyber criminals are rampant using technology. Even though there are regular news in the media about such frauds, even though the police and cyber department are creating awareness, some people are not changing. They are greedy and drowning. Now three people from hyderabad had to pay Rupees.1 crore to the cyber criminals.
If this incident goes into precedents, a person was introduced to some people through Instagram. They asked if they have a part-time job. He said that the job is to give likes, shares and comments to their YouTube videos. The victim, who thought this was a big job, agreed to what they said. In this sequence, the accused sent a YouTube link to the mobile of the victim. The victim opened the link and liked the video. He also shared that link to more people.
He also put a comment under that video. Then the cyber criminals paid some amount of cash to the victim's account. And the victim was completely convinced. They believed that if they invest in their company after a few days, the amount will be doubled. The victim believed the words of the cyber criminals and invested Rs. 53 lakhs in several installments.
Since then cyber criminals have stopped calling and chatting with the victim. After realizing that he was completely drowned, the victim complained to the police. Similarly, police received complaints that another person lost Rupees.36 lakhs in the name of Bitcoin trading and another youth lost Rupees.18 lakhs in Hyderabad.
