Rajasthan: Jewellery Store Owner Killed During Robbery


In Rajasthan, the owner of a jewellery store was shot and killed during a robbery when five assailants forcibly entered his shop, holding him and two others at gunpoint. The incident occurred on Friday, august 23, in the central market of the Bhiwadi area in the Khairthal-Tijara district and was recorded by the store’s CCTV cameras.

The deceased has been identified as jai Soni, who, along with his brother Madhusudan Soni and security guard Sujan Singh, was present at Kamlesh Jewellers around 7:30 pm when the robbery took place. The robbers, who arrived in a car, attacked the trio and looted the store.


According to the police, the robbers opened fire during the robbery, injuring Jai, Madhusudan, and Sujan. jai later died from his injuries at the hospital. Reports indicate that jai confronted the robbers during the heist, leading them to flee. jai pursued them and attempted to prevent their escape, which resulted in him being shot.


Jaipur range Inspector General of police Anil Kumar Tank stated that police teams have been deployed to track down and identify the suspects using the CCTV footage. The injured are receiving treatment at a local hospital.


In response to the incident, the traders' association has organized a protest demanding the immediate arrest of the culprits. bjp mla baba Balaknath and senior police officials have visited the protest site to engage with the traders and address their concerns.
