2 drug smugglers including African national arrested…

Delhi police arrested two drug smugglers with cocaine worth Rs 1.5 crore in 2018. delhi police has recovered 141.9 grams ofcocaine from both of them, which is worth about Rs 1.5 crore in the international market.

According to delhi police, one of the arrested accused is from an African country. While the other accused belongs to Bihar. Both were running a big network of drug supply in Delhi-NCR. The police team is interrogating the accused to get information about other people involved in the network.

Amphetamine drugs recovered from Nigerian citizen

The team of Outer delhi Special Staff police arrested the African citizen on charges of smuggling on 2 february 2025. The Nigerian citizen was trapped by the police from nihal Vihar area by laying a trap.

DCP Sachin Sharma had told in this case that 53.54 grams of amphetamine drugs have been recovered from the African smuggler. The price of the narcotic substance is Rs 26 lakh in the international market. The nihal Vihar police station has registered a case of NDPS Act against the accused and is engaged in investigating the drug network through the accused.

4 crore ecstasy tablets seized

Earlier on 21 november 2024, the delhi Crime Branch arrested 2 drug smugglers Santan Goswami and Nigerian citizen Ikechukwu under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. After the arrest of both, the police also busted an international supply network of ecstasy tablets. Also, 6790 ecstasy tablets weighing 3 kg were seized. The police had estimated the value of the drugs to be around Rs 4 crore. According to Additional CP Sanjay Bhatia of the Crime Branch, it was told at that time that the police had received secret information about the activities of this racket. Based on the information, the police raided near Kalibari Apartment, Gol Market and arrested Santan Goswami with 33 grams of MDMA.
