Harsh firing during wedding ceremony in Greater Noida!

In another case of Harsh firing during a wedding ceremony, two people have been reported to have been shot. The incident is from Surajpur Kotwali area of Greater noida, where two confectioners were seriously injured in a sudden firing during a wedding celebration at Ashirvad marriage Home, Sakipur. The injured have been identified as Santosh (35) and Ishwar Dayal (23), who were cooking food at the wedding ceremony. Immediately after the incident, both the injured were admitted to a nearby hospital, where their condition remains critical. The accused is absconding since the incident. As soon as the information about this illegal Harsh firing was received, Surajpur police reached the spot and started investigation.

police said that the accused who fired fled from the spot, a special team has been formed to search for him. Greater noida police issued a statement saying, "Today on 23.02.2025, during celebratory firing at Ashirwad marriage Home, Sakipur in Thana Surajpur area, Santosh (35) son Birbal, resident of village Shrimati, district Morena (Madhya Pradesh) and Ishwar Dayal (23) son Shri Krishna, resident of village Kotra Manikpur, district Firozabad have suffered serious bullet injuries. Both have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. The accused is absconding, teams have been formed to arrest him. FIR has been registered after receiving the complaint from the plaintiff and further legal action is underway."

Cases of celebratory firing are increasing continuously during wedding ceremonies and other events in Uttar Pradesh. Despite all the efforts of the administration, many people flout the law by openly firing on happy occasions like weddings. A similar case came to light in Greater noida, where two innocent confectioners were seriously injured due to celebratory firing at a wedding ceremony. This incident raises questions on the working style of the administration and the police.
