Theft of 96 branded watches worth Rs 40 lakhs revealed?
A team of Vasant Kunj South police station in delhi has arrested a thief. police have recovered 96 premium brand (Rado, Tissot) watches from the accused. The price of the watches is said to be around Rs 40 lakh. According to the police, the name of the arrested accused is Pradeep. pradeep is a resident of Muradnagar, Ghaziabad. South West DCP Surendra Chaudhary said that on 21 february 2025, Sudhanshu Kumar, a resident of rk Puram, had lodged an e-FIR at Vasant Kunj South police station.
The incident took place on the night of 20 february at around 11 pm. Expensive watches were being delivered from faridabad to Rangpuri. The intention of the driver of the delivery van turned bad. He, along with Pradeep, stole 20 boxes of expensive watches. Considering the seriousness of the matter, a special team was formed. The special team examined the CCTV footage and call records of the suspects. Technical surveillance was also used in the investigation.
96 branded watches were stolen
On the basis of suspicion, the police raided the 'Multi Discount Hub' showroom on 24 february 2025. 96 expensive watches were recovered from the Muradnagar showroom. The watches were matched with the serial number. They matched with the list of stolen watches. The police arrested the accused Pradeep. DCP Surendra Chaudhary said that the cost of the 96 watches recovered is Rs 40 lakh.
The thief was arrested after investigation
The police is investigating the case further. It is being ascertained who else was involved in stealing the expensive watches. More revelations are expected after questioning Pradeep. The police showed seriousness on Sudhanshu Kumar's complaint. After investigation, the theft of expensive watches was revealed.
