A case of raping a girl on the pretext of marriage has come to light in Baghpat. The victim alleges that the accused raped her and when she became pregnant, he forced her to abort and also accused the victim of having an affair with someone else and refused to marry her. In the panchayat held in the village, pressure was also put on the boy to marry, but he flatly refused to marry the girl. The victim girl has registered a case of rape on the pretext of marriage against the accused youth.
A youth living in Baraut Kotwali area was having a love affair with a girl in his own locality. The youth used to rape the girl by luring her to marry, but two months ago the girl became pregnant. The girl informed her lover about this. The youth got her aborted by giving her medicines, but she started bleeding.
The youth got the girl treated by a doctor. Meanwhile, the young man got information from somewhere that the girl was having an affair with another man. After that, he refused to marry the girl. The family members of the accused young man also opposed the marriage with the girl and threatened the girl that if she married the young man, they would kill her.
Police arrested the accused
Giving information about this, Inspector Manoj Kumar chahal of Baraut Kotwali said that the boy and the girl are from the same locality. Both have been in a relationship for many years. The young man raped the girl several times on the pretext of marriage, after which she became pregnant. The accused got the girl aborted, but the young man is now refusing to marry her. The victim has filed a case against the accused youth for raping her on the pretext of marriage. The accused has been arrested. Further action is being taken in this case.
