Preparations to connect 28 thousand villages with bus service!
Preparations have been started on a large scale to strengthen the transport service in Uttar Pradesh. Under this, the government will connect 28 thousand villages of the state with bus service. For this, 1540 bus routes have been determined. For this scheme, those buses will be used which were ordered for maha Kumbh. There are three thousand such buses which have been prepared to be operated on new routes.
Transport minister Dayashankar Singh has given information about the plan to connect villages with bus service in the UP assembly during the Question Hour on Friday. He said that the 3 thousand buses which were deployed in maha Kumbh. Those buses will be operated on new routes. He said that after this, the villages which will remain will also be connected with bus service under the chief minister Gram Jodo Yojana.
Mahakumbh buses will be added to village bus service
The Transport minister, while answering the questions of SP members Pankaj Malik and Akhilesh, said that the government has so far bought 6638 new buses. Out of these, three thousand buses were used in Mahakumbh. He said that the buses which have become vacant will now be operated on new routes. Dayashankar Singh said that in the Transport Department, after completing ten years or covering a distance of 11 lakh km, the bus is removed from the large fleet. Some buses are repaired in the workshop and run for 15 years.
Dayashankar Singh has claimed in the assembly that at present not a single old or illegal bus is running in UP. Even if private buses are seen running, they are running with national permit. However, they are not allowed to stop the buses on the way and pick up passengers. If anyone is found doing this, action will be taken against him. He said that the government is working on connecting villages with bus service. Those villages which are left out from the bus route will be connected with the bus route under the Mukhyamantri Gram Jodo Yojana. Small buses will be purchased for this. A new batch of diesel and electric buses is also going to arrive in this.
