Notorious thug who cheated lakhs in delhi arrested!

delhi police has finally arrested wanted thug Mohit who cheated lakhs. The accused was wanted in a fraud case of police station Alipur. The process of action was issued by the court against him under section 84 of BNS.

Mohit had absconded after defrauding the complainant of Rs 73 lakh. The delhi police team arrested 37-year-old Mohit, resident of Shastri Colony, Sonipat, Haryana. He was wanted in FIR No. 602/2024, dated 26/09/2024 under section 318(4)/336(3)/338/340(2) BNS and was absconding since the case was registered.

According to delhi police, on june 5, 2024, Shri ram Niwas lodged a complaint at police station Alipur. He alleged that Mohit cheated him of Rs 73 lakh by luring him to sell a fake plot in village Sindhu, Delhi. During the investigation, a non-bailable warrant was issued against the accused on january 9, 2025, but he continued to evade arrest. After this, on february 20, 2025, the court started legal proceedings against him under Section 84 of the BNS.

Strong strategy made to catch the accused

The delhi police Crime Branch was constantly keeping an eye on wanted criminals. While monitoring the activities of criminals in Outer-North District, the NR-II team got information about Mohit's involvement in the Alipur fraud case and absconding. Through technical surveillance and local intelligence, his location was found in Uchana Mandi, Jind, Haryana. After this, delhi police formed a special team and raided and arrested Mohit at the designated place.

Accused's profile

During police interrogation, Mohit told that he was born and brought up in Sonipat, Haryana. He completed his graduation and started working as a property dealer. However, under the guise of property dealing, he started committing fraud and duped many people and swindled lakhs of rupees from them.
