Harsh firing took life, innocent died after being shot!
A six-year-old child died after being shot during celebratory firing during a wedding ceremony in Ara, Bihar. The incident is from Tetaria village of Udwantnagar police station area of the district. This incident happened on the night of last sunday (02 march 2025). people were taking the injured child to patna when he died on the way. The dead child has been identified as ashish Kumar, son of Sintu Kumar, resident of Tetaria village of Udwantnagar police station area.
After the incident, the child's family and local villagers became angry in the early morning of monday (03 march, 2025). The child's body was placed on the road and the Ara-Sasaram State Highway was blocked demanding the arrest of the accused. They also set fire by burning tires. The villagers blocked the road for about two and a half hours. Due to the road jam, there was a long line of vehicles on both sides. Traffic came to a halt.

On receiving information about the road jam, Udwantnagar police station in-charge ram kalyan Yadav reached with the police force. Explained to the people and pacified the matter. After the immediate arrest of the accused and assurance of security to the family of the deceased, people agreed to move away from the road. After this, the police got the post-mortem of the body done in Sadar Hospital.
Family members accused of murder
The child's cousin grandfather Baban Singh told that his cousin Ramayan Singh was shot dead on december 1 in the year 2023. In the same case, he had gone to the court on 19 february to testify. In this case, ashish Kumar's father Sintu Kumar is to testify on march 11, regarding which the accused are threatening Sintu Kumar's family. On sunday night, the wedding procession of the daughter of ram Bachchan, a neighbor of the village, came from Angruan village of Jagdishpur police station area. In this, Sintu Kumar had gone to attend the wedding with his family members. Harsh firing was done during the jaimala. ashish Kumar was shot in the head in this firing.
