A child thief gang has been busted in Vanrai, Mumbai. police solved the mystery of kidnapping of the child and caught four accused. The arrested accused include 2 women and 2 men. The gang had planned to sell the one and a half month old child for 5 lakhs. Vanrai police had registered a case of kidnapping of the child and started investigating. The Gujarati family had registered a case of missing child in Vanrai police station. police had to work hard when no clue of the child was found. 6 teams were formed under the guidance of DCP Smita Patil of Zone 12. The team started investigation from different angles. police investigated about 11 thousand auto rickshaws. An auto rickshaw driver was suspected. police had received information that the auto rickshaw was going towards Malad Malvani from the crime scene.
Four arrested in child theft case
A shocking revelation was made during the investigation. Accused Raju More's first wife is Mangal More and second wife is Fatima Sheikh. Mangal More was unable to have a child. police got information that a small child was born to the auto driver a few days ago. Raju's wife was requesting to adopt the child. On the request of the first wife, Raju decided to steal the child from the roadside.
