Child kidnapped from outside the house, rescued by police within 24 hours!

A seven-year-old child who was kidnapped from outside the house for a ransom of Rs 1 crore in ludhiana, Punjab, was freed by the police within 24 hours. Also, the main accused was killed in an encounter with the police. Officials said that three policemen were also injured in the encounter in patiala district and two other accused were arrested. police said that Bhavkirat Singh was kidnapped by two motorcycle-borne kidnappers in Seehan Daud village of Khanna, ludhiana at around 6 pm on wednesday evening when he was playing outside his house. The boy's grandfather Gurjant Singh informed the police about the kidnapping.

The kidnappers were first seen in Malerkotla

Deputy Inspector General of police (Patiala Range) Mandeep Singh Sidhu said that separate teams were formed to trace the kidnappers and rescue the child. Sidhu said the kidnappers were first seen in Malerkotla after the kidnapping. He said that in a detailed investigation of the case, two persons were arrested and their interrogation provided important clues in the case. police said that chief minister Bhagwant Mann and director General of police Gaurav Yadav were personally monitoring the case.

Rs 1 crore was demanded as ransom

Mandeep Singh Sidhu said that the kidnappers had demanded a ransom of Rs 1 crore from the boy's family. The DIG said that the main accused was found to be near Mandore village in Nabha, patiala, who was riding in an SUV car. Sidhu said that the accused opened fire on the chasing police team, injuring three policemen. In retaliation, the main accused jaspreet singh was seriously injured and later died. He said that the police team recovered the child after searching the SUV. He said DGP Yadav has announced a cash reward of Rs 10 lakh to the police team, which included personnel from Khanna police, patiala police and Malerkotla Police.
