Pregnant woman dies after treatment denied…?
A shocking case has come to light from pune, Maharashtra, where a pregnant woman died after the city's Dinanath Mangeshkar Hospital refused to treat her due to lack of money. The surprising thing is that even after the bjp leader called, the hospital administration did not listen to the woman and her family.
Chief minister devendra fadnavis has ordered an inquiry into the incident. The cm has made it clear that strict action will be taken regarding the hospital which comes under the Charity Commissionerate. The pune incident shows the lack of sensitivity in the actions of the hospital administration. He said that this hospital was built by Lata Didi and the Mangeshkar family themselves. However, there have been reports that the staff insensitively refused to admit female patients or demanded more money.
'Treatment denied even after 10 lakh'
Regarding the whole matter, bjp MLC amit Gorkhe said, "Dinanath Mangeshkar Hospital was started with good intentions, but due to some people the hospital is getting a bad name. Recently this incident happened with one of my close associates, who went to the hospital to get his wife admitted, who was about to become a mother of two children. He was asked for Rs 20 lakh. Even after giving the receipt of Rs 10 lakh, he was denied treatment.
No hearing even after calling - bjp leader
He further said, "I also called the medical staff, but they did not listen to me despite this. During this time the couple changed two to three hospitals and in the meantime the woman died. My direct allegation is on the doctors and staff of Dinanath Hospital.
'Talked to cm Fadnavis'
bjp leader amit Gorkhe also said, "I spoke to cm devendra fadnavis about this. I demand that such doctors be sacked immediately. There should be a monthly audit of such hospitals."
