The 'Sanchar Sathi' portal of the Department of Telecommunications has now been linked to the 'Rail Madad' app of the indian Railways. Through this system, passengers can directly register a complaint about their lost or stolen mobile on the 'Rail Madad' app. This complaint will automatically reach the 'Sanchar Sathi' portal from where the mobile will be blocked so that it cannot be misused and its tracking can be started.

There are many facilities available on this portal which makes it easier to find a mobile phone.
Blocking facility: Any person can block his lost or stolen mobile by reporting it on the portal.
Tracing and recovery: police and RPF are informed about the tracing and recovery of the mobile.
