The Goods and Services Tax (GST) regime will finally start rolling from today midnight. This is the second notable biggest midnight event said to have occurred in India since August 15, 1947(our independence) in which Jawaharlal Nehru gave his stirring 'Tryst with Destiny' speech at midnight. The GST is undoubtedly India's biggest financial reform and gains the same importance. The though in a confused state what's it has in store at the moment. But the end result is believed that it will turn good in the long term.
Let's take a short comparison of GST with Demonetisation. When Modi announced it as a bitter medicine to kill black money in India at 8 pm daily labours were the ones who were worstly affected .But yet the trust in Modi was not lost. That trust was clearly proved by the head turn victory Modi gained in the five state elections.
Through this aggressive act of Demonetisation, many protested as an act of stupidity even by the Delhi Cheif Minister but the end result, Modi emerged as a gutsy leader who has guts to wave of black money. This image is the main fuel for the growth of the political leader.Similarly, though GST will be bitter medicine in the start hope the same positive image prevails for Modi and some betterment happens to India.
