Tina Dabi as well as Athar Khan's relationship reportedly began in Mussoorie's lal bahadur shastri National Academy for Administration, and their ensuing wedding drew national notice. In 2015, Dabi came in first and Khan came in second in the UPSC tests. Tina Dabi & Athar Khan, IAS officers, were given divorce by a family court of jaipur on Tuesday. In november of last year, both parties agreed to file a divorce petition with the court.

Many politicians welcomed their wedding as a sign of communal harmony. Dabi, as well as Athar, were both assigned to the IAS rajasthan cadre. Tina Dabi was then sent as the Chief Executive Officer to Sri GanganagarZila Parishad, after they were first stationed in the same city. Athar was appointed as the CEO of the Zila Parishad in Jaipur.

Dabi entered the rajasthan government as joint secretary  in november of last year. She confirmed her participation on social media. Dabi attended the Convent of Jesus and Mary and graduated from Delhi's Lady Shri ram college with a degree in political science. Meanwhile, Athar took the test in 2015, he was getting instruction at the indian Railways Institute of Transport and Management in Lucknow. This was the resident of Anantnag's second try.
