The postponement of New Zealand's limited-overs series in pakistan has spurred the england and wales cricket Board to act quickly and examine the security situation ahead of their visit next month.

England has stated that it would examine the situation on the ground in pakistan before deciding on their visit in the next 24-48 hours. Meanwhile, england will play two Twenty20 Internationals in Rawalpindi in october, in what will be their first visit to pakistan since 2005.

"The ECB Board will next determine whether our scheduled tour should go forward in the next 24-48 hours," the statement said.

New Zealand cricket (NZC) claimed it got a security notice from the government and decided to postpone the visit only minutes before the one-day international series was about to begin. From september 17 to october 3, they were set to play pakistan in three One-Day Internationals and five Twenty-20 Internationals at Rawalpindi and Lahore.
The postponement of the new zealand visit is a major blow for Pakistan's efforts to resurrect international cricket. Although several international cricket and pakistan Super League (PSL) matches have taken place in pakistan, major Test nations have yet to visit for full-fledged tours.
Later this year, the west indies will go to Pakistan. Early next year, australia will also visit Pakistan.
