Tribal Pride Week will continue to be important every year, as many tribal struggles have been forgotten.


Under atal bihari vajpayee, the Raloa government set up a 'Ministry of Tribal Affairs'; So from 2014, Hon. narendra Modi's government has begun the process of transforming the lives of all the disadvantaged and now these disadvantaged groups are being integrated into the mainstream development programs as 'participants'. 



Considering this, the significance of the recently celebrated 'Tribal Pride Week' becomes even brighter.


Celebrating the birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda on 15th november as 'Tribal Pride Day' and holding various programs under 'Tribal Pride Week' till 22nd november is a very important and far-reaching step in acknowledging the contribution of tribals. This shows the great place of tribals in the stream of national development.



The destruction of natural resources by the british to replenish their coffers was a direct economic and social blow to the tribals. 


Recognizing this, the tribals started fighting against the colonial policies of the British. 



Tribal Pride Week will continue to be important every year, as many tribal struggles have been forgotten. 



The Constituent assembly made special provisions for the upliftment of the tribals through the Fifth and Sixth Schedules of their Constitution. 



These provisions guarantee that the representatives of this community should be present in Parliament, in the Legislature and at the panchayat level. 


When atal bihari vajpayee was the Prime Minister, the national democratic alliance government set up a separate 'Ministry of Tribal Affairs at the Center in october 1999 with the aim of accelerating the welfare schemes of the tribes. 






The 'Aspirational district Program' and its effective implementation, planning of scholarship schemes, increasing the funding of scholarships and reducing the time required to receive them, quadrupling the number of 'Eklavya schools' in tribal areas, emphasizing local language as the medium of instruction. 


In the near future, 'Mangarh Dham' will be set up in Vagad area along with 10 other tribal museums to commemorate the contribution of tribals in the freedom struggle. 


The Bodo Agreement, the Bru-Reang Agreement, the Karbi-Anglong Peace Accord, and the strengthening of the Scheduled Caste-Tribe Atrocities Act will make the lives of the tribals happier.




Tribal Pride Day and Tribal Pride Week is an opportunity for indian citizens to pay tribute to the unnamed tribal heroes and to remain grateful. 



It is our duty to tell the next generation the story of how the tribal people and their leaders fought for independence. 



Taking this opportunity, let us pledge that the tribals should be able to preserve their art, culture and traditions with the motto 'One India, Great India'!
