What will happen if the PAN card is not linked with Aadhar?


The central government has extended the deadline for linking PAN with aadhar to 31 march 2022. Thereafter, a fine of Rs 1000 can be imposed.

For linking the PAN card with the aadhar card, there are frequent notifications by the central government. Despite this, many people have not yet linked their PAN card with the Aadhaar card. In this case, the deadline has now been extended from 31 december 2021 to 31 march 2022. After this, a penalty of Rs 1000 will be imposed. At the same time, a loss of up to Rs 10,000 can also be incurred.

The central government had set 31 december 2021 as the deadline for linking the PAN card and the aadhar card. In such a situation, people have not linked their PAN card with Aadhaar to this date, there is a provision for a fine of Rs 1 thousand for them. At the same time, to save from this amount of fine, the government has extended the deadline till march 31, so people should complete this process by march 31.

On the other hand, if people who did not link PAN with Aadhaar even by march 31, 2022, they will be fined Rs 1,000. Not only this, these people will not be able to use their PAN card anywhere. If the PAN card is used during this period, a fine of Rs 10,000 can also be imposed. Not only this, people who do not follow this process will also not be able to file Income Tax returns.
