World Homeopathy Day is celebrated all over the world on 10th April. The sole goal of celebrating this day is to make people aware of homeopathy. Today, patients are being treated with homeopathy in about 100 countries of the world. While homeopathy does not do any harm, the cost of its medicines is also not very high. What is Homeopathy?

Homeopathy comes from the Greek words homo and pathos. In this, homo means 'similar', and pathos means 'sorrow or disease'. According to the Central Council for Research in Homeopathy, it is an alternative form of medicine that is based on the principle of 'symmetry' medicine. In this method, the patients are treated not only through a holistic approach but also by understanding the individualistic characteristics of the patient.


What is history?

German-born Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann is considered the father of homeopathy, he was born on 10th April. It is said that he had made people aware of the future of homeopathy. This year is his 267th birth anniversary.

What is the purpose?

The main objective of celebrating World Homeopathy Day is to create awareness about this different system of medicine and make it easily accessible to as many people as possible. For this, a theme is issued every year by the government of India. This year the theme is 'Homoeopathy: People's Choice for Wellness'.
