The actors who make up the DCEU cast are no strangers to controversy, but the franchise has had considerable troubles as a result of the different concerns. Beginning with Man of Steel in 2013, the DCEU hasn't proven to be the commercial triumph that many expected. Despite the fact that it features practically all of DC's most renowned heroes, the DCEU struggled in its early phases, with numerous tone and characterization errors.

Amber Heard

Following the response to her testimony against Depp, social media users demanded that Amber Heard be pulled from Aquaman 2. A petition with almost four million signatures is part of this. The trial has also shown that she was arrested in 2009 for alleged domestic abuse but was never charged. The negative publicity surrounding Heard's court fights has put a burden on the DCEU and Aquaman: The Lost Kingdom's promotion, with rumours on the internet that the sequel will be boycotted before of its 2023 release.

Ezra Miller
A video appeared in 2020 showing Miller choking a lady at an Icelandic bar. The actor was not charged at the time, but they were detained in Hawaii in march 2022 after an alleged physical altercation and charged with disorderly conduct and harassment. Miller was arrested for second-degree assault in Hawaii three weeks later, in april 2022, and fined for disorderly behaviour. The public's perception of Miller has deteriorated as a result of their frequent arrests.

Gal Gadot

Wonder Woman, the third and final member of DC's legendary trinity of heroes, has been controversial in her own right. Gal Gadot, who plays Wonder Woman, has encountered controversy on several occasions in recent years, though on a far smaller scale than some of her DC co-stars. Gadot made the now-famous "Imagine" video in the aftermath of the COVID-19 epidemic in 2020, in which she was joined by several celebrities in a performance of the john Lennon song. The Wonder Woman star has already apologised for the video, which she describes as "tasteless."
