GST: Rs 1,48,995 crore GST collection in July, 28% increase over last year
The total amount of GST collection is Rs 25751 crore as CGST, Rs 32807 crore as STST, and Rs 79,518 crore as IGST.
GST collection of Rs 1,48,995 crore has been done in the month of July. This amount is 28 percent more than the amount of GST collection in the same month last year. This is also the second largest collection ever since the introduction of GST in september 2017.

Of this amount of GST collection, Rs 25751 crore has been recovered as CGST, Rs 32807 crore as STST, and Rs 79,518 crore as IGST.
According to the data released by the government regarding GST collection, Rs 41420 crore was collected as a tax on imported goods in the country. Apart from this, Rs 10920 crore has been recovered as cess.

According to these figures, a cess of Rs 995 crore has been imposed on the goods imported into the country. These figures for GST recovery have been released by the Ministry of Finance. Earlier in the month of June, the GST collection was Rs 1.44 lakh crore. It is to be noted here that the total amount of GST collection for five consecutive months has been more than Rs 1.4 lakh. There has been an increase in the GST figures every month.
