To honour the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, one of India's most important spiritual figures and intellectuals, National youth Day, also known as Swami Vivekananda Jayanti, is observed throughout india on january 12. He was a philosopher, monk, and teacher who was important to both the revival of hinduism in india and the campaign for indian independence.
He is also renowned for his contributions to education and his initiatives to empower indian youth. His ideas on spirituality, nationalism, and education are still important today and have a significant influence on indian youth.
